Bryan Wilson MSN, RN

President

Bryan is a Master's Prepared Registered Nurse, and the specialty resource coordinator for the endoscopy system at St. Elizabeth hospital in Northern Kentucky. He has worked at St. Elizabeth for 11 years.  He is a happy husband to his wife Katelyn, and father of two little girls who are fantastic and the focus of his life.  His personal interests include volleyball, fixing up his house and cars, and video games.  His work interests include ERCP, specialty procedures, and learning about the capabilities and treatments in endoscopy.  He is excited to dive deeper into the world of endoscopy through the SGNA!

Andrew Thole MSN, RN, CGRN

President Elect

Andrew is a Master's Prepared Registered Nurse with his CGRN certification. He graduated with his BSN from Thomas More College in 2012 and with his MSN from Northern Kentucky University in 2022. He has worked in Endoscopy for seven years and is currently working as the Nurse Manager for St. Elizabeth Healthcare over Edgewood, Grant, and Dearborn locations. Andrew is happily married to Amanda and they have two beautiful children Austin and Audrey. Andrew's interests include sports with the Bengals being at the top of his list. He was recently voted into the Thomas More Hall of Fame for Baseball. He is looking forward to serving on the board of KYSGNA.

Michelle Allis MSN, RN, NE-BC

Immediate Past President

Michelle Allis is the Director of Endoscopy Services for St. Elizabeth healthcare. She received her BSN from The College of Mt. St. Joseph and her MSN from Northern Kentucky University. She is married to her best friend Jon Allis and they have four wonderful children, Jennifer, Mary, Sara and Andrew. She is passionate about endoscopy and has served on the KYSGNA board for 6 years and loves being able to serve the KYSGNA community.

Deena Stewart BSN, RN, CGRN

Education Planner

Deena is a Registered Nurse with 38 years’ experience, 30 of those years spent in the area of Gastroenterology and Digestive Health. She has been with KDMC since 1998 and actually was born there in 1963. Deena received her ADN from the University of Kentucky in 1985, BSN from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY in 2000, and achieved certification as a Gastroenterology Registered Nurse from the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses in 2005. She is currently an educational event planner or the Kentucky Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates and has held the positions of President-Elect and President in the past. Deena serves KDMC as the Digestive Health Nurse Navigator for their Gastroenterology and General Surgery departments. She is passionate about preventing gastrointestinal cancers, especially colorectal cancer, through education  and screening. She has given presentations at the local, state, and national levels on a variety of topics related to gastroenterology. Deena was awarded the Bev Coleman award for Nursing Excellence for 2019 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, their highest honor granted to one nurse each year. She is married to a retired Navy Chief and they traveled all over the east
coast and the Caribbean for 20 years with their two children, Jacob and Laura. Added to the family in 2017 was a son-in-law Cody, and later, two precious granddaughters-Ava and Emma.

Amy Pooler, BSN, RN, CGRN

Social Media

Amy Pooler is a Registered Nurse at University of Louisville Hospital, where she has been employed since 2000. She has worked in Endoscopy since 2008. She became certified in Gastrointestinal Nursing in 2019. She is currently a Charge Nurse and specializes in Motility. Amy serves on multiple committees at UofL Hospital and has implemented many projects. She is also currently serving as a committee member on the SGNA Practice Committee. Amy is a Girl Scout leader and coaches Archery at her local Middle School.  She is married and has a daughter. Her family has a farm and likes to travel.
